So don't listen to any of this if you like this car. Just go to a corner and say LALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALA I CAN'T READ YOU!
I'm not crazy about it. It's just another big, loud, presumably heavy supercar. The styling isn't striking in my opinion. It looks basically the same as the SLS (which, don't get me wrong, was a pretty car), the rear looks Porsche-ish and I don't know. It just feels too familiar.
I apologize deeply if these sentiments have already been shared on this public forum.

Guess what!
You're not the first person to post something exactly like this on oppo!

I'm going to be honest, I agree with you.
Merc roadsters and sports cars have never interested me, and this isn't special.
I prefer the coupe versions of Merc sedans (Like The new 2 door S-class), or AMG sedans/estates (E65 AMG).
The SLs, SLKs, etc. never really interested me at all.

Yes...I thought as much, though I haven't read oppo all day.

It's pretty light from the specs that I read. Something like 3,300lbs. Compare it to its competitors and it's definitely in the lighter category. Especially when compared to the F-Type R.

I agree. I didnt like the back of the SLS, I dont like the back of this. it just looks....melted....more so the SLS then this, but i still think it looks horrid

I am with you. A Benz sportscar does nothing for me anyway; to me, Mercedes means big fucking sedan (or coupe version of one). And I like that idea.
If the past is any indication, it will have some comprises as a sports car verses the competition.

Really? Didn't know. Thanks for sharing; that's actually quite impressive.

In fact, a lot of people are doing it. F-Type is still dominant on oppo.

Ugh, I'm on the fence to be honest. I think I still like the F Type more, but I'll have to hear how the GT performs to really make a decision.
I'd rather have an Aston V8 Vantage GT at that price anyway.

I like it, I'd drive it, and I'm sure it's going to be a fantastic car. I wouldn't buy one, though, and that's the great thing about cars nowadays. You can like whatever you want, because they're all fantastic! I also kind-of dig the SLS styling on this one, because it looks more like the original Gullwing than the SLS, since it's a smaller car. I saw an SLS for the first time and realised that they're actually very big cars.

I feel the same regarding the big fucking sedans (or BFS's, as they are known in the enthusiast community), though strangely, I'm crazy about the old 25o SL's.

It isn't exciting at all. It is more boring than a Camry.

I don't like it either. The SLS was a handsome thing. This is meh. I'd get a 911 or F-Type over it.

New Miata is better looking and the Hellcat more audacious.
Fuck this poser car. At lest the SLS knew where it stood in the world.

I agree completely. I haven't even bothered opening an article on the FP about it.
I'm sure it has a lovely engine note, but I have no problem waiting until Top Gear tests it to hear that.
